FASHION touches on subjects such as the function of clothing in relation to the (desired) identity of the wearer, the pressure of the fashion system that dictates the aesthetic taste of the moment, fashion bulimia in general, and the best way to dispose of clothing, namely by finding a new purpose for it. Fashion is an ode to the clothing pieces that did not end up in Bartels’ wardrobe in spring 2024.
